For the first social occasions after so long living with restrictions, you don’t want to mark the moment with the same old lager or glass of wine. We can do better than that. Let’s take things up a notch.

Cocktails are the way to go. Now, don’t panic if you don’t fancy yourself as being much of a mixologist. We’re not talking about complicated creations. What we’ve got in the mind is the simplest and most glorious of serves: The Highball.

The Highball is essentially a long drink which pairs your chosen spirit with a mixer. The G&T is probably the most classic example.
